I think that it was the producer of the film's decision to put her into the supporting category, as she had more chance of winning in that area than in the lead category. So, the Academy is really not at fault here (blame the producers haha). This tactic is seldom used a lot (take for example, Jennifer Hudson for Dreamgirls, who was an obvious lead).

I love Catherine Zeta Jones (what a phenomenal goddess of an actress) and she was the only thing in "Chicago" that kept me sane. However, I believe that Julianne Moore should have one for such an engaging emotional performance...watch "the Hours" she'll make you weep!

Catherine and Queen were both robbed this year. Catherine deserved LEAD ACTRESS and, as such, it put Queen Latifah in such a grossly uncompetitive category. Velma Kelly was a second lead role. Sorry Academy. You got this one wrong.
